A pathways preview

Welcome to my Batman blog. You'll find information on Features, Leads, Extras, recaps and more here.

This blog is for my game using the Smallville RPG rules over Summer 2011. Everything before this post refers to the 'pilot' version of this chronicle. For those of you coming back, thanks for returning!

The game is about a fictional TV show set in Gotham City. It focuses on some of the more normal inhabitants of Gotham and how they clash with each other as well as Gotham's more famous denizens. These are the cops, lawyers and crooks in the City of the Bat.

More preview info after the jump!

Here are photos for our Pathways session. See if you can figure out what's going to happen this season!

Detective Lisa Yung-Li: The most recent addition to Gotham's Major Crimes Unit. Lisa is famous for fending off Mr. Freeze as a patrolman about a year ago. She lost her leg in the process but gained her current position. She has a hard-to-define relationship with Gotham's most eligible bachelor.

Detective 2nd Grade James Lane: A 3rd generation Gotham officer. Named after "Uncle Jim" Commissioner Gordon, Lane  has a daughter from a relationship in his past that he doesn't like to talk about and a connection to The Jester, Gotham's first vigilante from the post-war years.

DA Veronika Hilton: Gotham City's District Attorney. Gained her position after the unfortunate incident that created Two-Face. Veronika was kidnapped by the Penguin as a student. She is also currently in an "arrangement" with Tommy Goodspeed.

Dr. Morgan O'Neill: Chief Medical Examiner. She went to med school with the woman who would become Harley Quinn. She is in possession of Mr. Freeze's medical journal as is an expert on the forensic pathology of most of Batman's villains. She thinks the Bat is more trouble hat he's worth.

Arthur Pembrose: public defender for the Gotham City courthouse. He defends the henchmen and petty criminals in Gotham City.  His best friend Tommy Goodspeed became partners in the firm that exclusively defends Batman's villains. He also possesses a smartphone with a direct link to the Bat.

Jason Throne: Illegitimate child of Rupert Throne, Gotham's last big crime boss. Jason returned from abroad to take advantage of the family name his sister Cynthia has spent years trying to clean up. He also was once an item with Lisa Yung-Li.
